A Grateful Heart
Tis the season
The fall has flown by with family trips, soccer games, and late-night MBA classes. A huge praise is that I have officially wrapped up my MBA from George Washington University!
But still, I must ask myself, how? How is it late December and almost Christmas already!? The Christmas season, with its enchanting allure, often brings along a whirlwind of activities and responsibilities. From the frenzy of gift shopping and the hustle of holiday decorating to the bustle of preparing festive feasts, our days become a blur of tasks that leave us breathless. However, amidst this hectic pace, it's crucial to remember to slow down and breathe. For our family, it's about pausing amidst the chaos to cherish precious moments with our kids.
It's not about perfectly wrapped gifts or huge extravagant celebrations, but in those sweet times we share with our loved ones. From baking Christmas cookies to enjoying a warm cup of cocoa to building countless gingerbread houses to watching The Grinch nineteen times, these are the moments that make the season truly special and the memories we will cherish.
Though we are preparing to say goodbye to our familiar surroundings and step into the unknown, our family is filled with appreciation. As we celebrate this Christmas season, our hearts are brimming with gratitude for the love, support, and blessings that surround us. We have been blessed with a network of friends, family, and well-wishers who believe in our mission and have generously contributed to our cause with financial and moral support.
While we still have many steps and hurdles ahead of us, we're thankful for the chance to embark on this life-changing mission as a family. This season, as we reflect on our blessings and look forward to the adventures ahead, we are reminded of the true spirit of Christmas - giving, loving, and serving. As we unwrap our presents under the tree, we realize that we have been given the opportunity to make a difference in the world and serve the Lord and others.
